spokentext提供在线Text-to-Voice （文字转语音）的服务，支持将多种文档转换成语音内容。支持英语文本直接翻译成德语或者法语输出音频，转换文件包括 PDF, Word, plain text, PowerPoint files ,feeds, emails&web pages,能输出为MP3 或者 M4B文件。转换时有多种人声包括男女声等供选择，同时还支持语速选择。每个用户有一个podcast URL 用来列出你的音频文件并提供下载，同时用户也可以很方便将这些音频文件在自己的blog/web中分享。

[...] 和前面介绍的spokentext服务差不多，都提供Text-to-Voice （文字转语音）的服务，类似的服务还有vozme、atalker以及刚介绍的blogbard。在readthewords可以直接输入一段文字进行转换，也可以上传PDF 、Word、HTML 三种格式的文件进行转换，不仅如此，你可以直接输入web/RSS Feeds 地址，readthewords能将组成该web/RSS Feeds 的每一个网页或者blog文章转换成单独的MP3文件。相比spokentext有所强势的是，readthewords提供了14种语音，分别来自14个不同性别不同年龄的阅读者，这些阅读者能阅读English, Spanish,French，也就说支持这三种文字的语音转换，每个阅读者都有独特的声音而且部分还带有地方口音，另外还可以对速度进行设置，这就给用户提供了更多的选择，让用户找到更适合自己的读法，这是在spokentext中所没有的。转换后的结果可以在线来听，也可以将转换的MP3文件下载下来在其他设备上听，readthewords同样还提供了分享到blog/web的方式。 [...]
